PAYMENT OPTIONS
We accept all major credit cards.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING
Though we do have some stock in the studio, most items are made to order. Please allow 15 business days to ship. Larger orders may take longer. If your order will take longer than 15 business days we will send you an email providing an estimated ship date. Please note that some items (for example, lamps) include special production times in their descriptions.

We ship all of our products within the Continental United States from our studio in Sharon, CT via UPS Ground. Your order should arrive to you within 2-8 business days from the day it ships depending on your proximity to our studio. Once your order is shipped we will provide you with a tracking number via e-mail. All orders ship Monday through Friday.

  • Orders shipping to Alaska and Hawaii ship via USPS.
  • All retail orders over $200, shipping within the Continental United States, ship via UPS Ground free of charge, excluding lighting and furniture. Shipping charges for lighting and furniture will be calculated at time of purchase.

  • We will gladly quote expedited shipping costs – if you require faster delivery please give us a call for a quote.
  • Unfortunately, we do not ship to PO Boxes – a street address is required for shipping.
  • DBO HOME is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. DBO HOME will not be held accountable for additional shipping charges incurred if packages are returned to us due to customer absence, errors in shipping addresses or package refusal.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Please contact us for orders shipping outside of the United States at customerservice@dbohome.com. Most often the best shipping option is USPS and charges will be calculated and quoted to you. Shipments usually take from 1-3 weeks depending on the speed of your local post and customs office. Please note that your order may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country, and you will be responsible for paying all additional charges for customs clearance. You should contact your local customs office for further information.

  • If expedited shipping is required we will contact alternative carriers (i.e. UPS, FEDEX) for quotes.

CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must be made within 24 hours of placing an order. Please email us at customerservice@dbohome.com

DAMAGED ITEMS
If your order arrives damaged in shipment, please e-mail us a photo of the damage at customerservice@dbohome.com within 5 days and keep the item and the packaging until notified. We will handle the claim with UPS or USPS and send a replacement to you free of charge as soon as possible.

RETURNS (EXCLUDING FURNITURE AND LIGHTING)
Because all of our pieces are made by hand there will be slight imperfections and variations that we do not see as flaws, but instead make our products uniquely ours. All of the items made at DBO HOME are inspected for defects before they are shipped out. It is important to us that our customers are happy with our products. If you are not satisfied with your purchase we will work to find you a perfect replacement.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the same condition it was received and in the original packaging. Please email customerservice@dbohome.com within 14 days of receipt of goods to be issued a return authorization (RA number). Goods must be returned back to our studio within 14 days of receiving the RA number to be eligible for exchange or store credit. Items received without the RA number or outside the 14-day window will be refused and/or returned to sender at the customer’s expense. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs to our studio. DBO HOME is not responsible for any damage or loss that occurs when return shipping so please pack the items well and use a trusted carrier for shipping.

  • We accept returns for exchange or store credit within two weeks of purchasing. Because we make each piece to order we regret we cannot offer refunds.
  • Shipping charges are non refundable.
  • We do not accept returns on furniture, lighting, special or custom orders and gift certificates. These items are all final sale, non-returnable, non-refundable.
HOW TO MAKE A RETURN
  • Verify that your order qualifies for a return then, email us to receive an RA number. We will respond within 2 business days if your order qualifies for a return.
  • Write the RA# on the exterior of the box, and enclose the receipt or other proof of payment inside.

  • Pack item(s) carefully making sure they cannot move within the box and that there is plenty of cushioning. Ship using a trusted carrier and we suggest insuring all items over $100. Items must be received within 14 days of the RA issue date. Items that arrive damaged, without original packaging or previously used will void the RA- we reserve the right to deny any returns that we feel do not meet our criteria for exchange.
  • You will receive an email with confirmation of your return and instructions to redeem your credit on our website, or a new tracking number for exchanged items. Store credit is valid for one year from issue date.

CERAMIC CARE
Our ceramics are handcrafted from durable, high quality porcelain. Our glazes are food safe and lead free. Our porcelain pieces are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe except where noted in their descriptions. For example, our bronze glaze should not be put in the microwave and this is noted in product descriptions of bronze glazed items. Although all of our pieces are dishwasher safe, hand washing will prolong the life cycle of your pottery. Dirt, stains, and metal marks from silverware (due to the ceramic being harder than the metal) particularly on our matte and semi-matte glazes, can be removed with Bar Keeper’s Friend, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, or baking soda mixed with a bit of warm water. Do not expose the wares to dramatic shifts in temperature – e.g. do not put hot from the oven pieces into the refrigerator or from the freezer into a hot oven- allow for gradual change in temperature. Do not place over an open flame.

FURNITURE CARE
All of our furniture is finished with layers of tung oil and beeswax. You can dust using a gentle cleaner and rag (or paper towel), we like Method for Wood or anything else without wax. Should you scratch the wood surface it is easy to mend with steel wool and new layers of tung oil and beeswax. Please get in touch with us if you need to touch up scratches and we will give you step- by- step instructions. It is always a good idea to use a coaster.

LEATHER CARE
We oil the leather details and Ruby Collar with mineral oil.  To keep your leather looking good you can simply use vegetable oil on a paper towel or cloth and rub into the leather.  The natural leather will darken over time creating a lovely patina.

LIGHTING CARE
All of our lighting is made using UL listed parts. We note recommended wattage for each lamp. Please do not exceed this wattage.
