Recently John traveled to Japan and was inspired by the humble beauty of the tea cups he found in Kyoto. He came up with this great idea to collaborate on a small batch of one of a kind cups.
Each cup was wheel thrown by me (Dana) and dipped in indigo glaze by John to look like waves in all directions from low tide to high tide. His idea to dip the cups in indigo came from another trip, this time to Jaipur where he saw printers dipping block printed fabrics into vats.
John signed and numbered each cup. They come wrapped in a beautiful John Robshaw Textiles indigo dipped 100% cotton napkins.
