The MEND Collection
Sometimes the kiln has the last word. When a line appears, we don’t discard the piece—we honor it. Each MEND work is repaired by hand with bronze staples, tiny hammer-set stitches that trace the fault line with a quiet glow. What might have been waste becomes a one-of-a-kind object—perfectly imperfect, and all the more beloved.

The Piece

A generous rectangular porcelain platter with our softly patterned honeycomb motif under a clear gloss that gently catches the light. Softly rounded corners and a low, easy rim make it as practical as it is elegant—perfect for roasted vegetables, grilled fish, cheeses, or a row of pastries down the center of the table. Slim and stackable, it layers beautifully with the rest of the Honeycomb pieces.

The Collection

Our signature Honeycomb collection comes straight from the hive, literally. Our neighbor, the bee-keeping farmer of Meili Farm, offered us a beehive starter thinking it might be a great texture - she was right. A subtle, true honeycomb pattern covers each piece.

The Glaze

Bright white gloss layered with a soft, pale grey wash that settles into the texture, leaving raised areas luminous and the pattern crisply defined. We work the grey into the surface and wipe it back before glazing, so the hexes of Honeycomb and the grain of Birch read with quiet dimension. Mixed in small batches in our studio, this glaze naturally varies—tiny specks, tonal shifts, the way the wash gathers. No two applications are exactly alike.

Timing & Delivery

This piece is part of a small collection of ready-to-ship pieces. Please allow 2-3 business days for packaging.

Made By Hand

Each piece is made to order in our Connecticut studio, one by one. Subtle variations in size, color, and shape are part of what make them special—no two are exactly alike. You may notice small imperfections—what we like to call perfectly imperfect.

Crafted For Everyday Luxury

We work with durable, high-fire porcelain and glaze each piece by hand at over 2200 degrees. Our glazes are food-safe, lead-free, and dishwasher friendly (unless noted above). Whether it’s a morning coffee or a long, candlelit dinner, our ceramics are made to be lived with—every day.

Our ceramics are handcrafted from high-quality, durable porcelain. All glazes are food safe and lead free.

Unless otherwise noted, our porcelain pieces are dishwasher and oven safe. (For example, pieces with our bronze glaze should not be used in the microwave—this will always be specified in the product description.)

While dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing to help extend the life of your pottery.

To remove dirt, stains, or silverware marks—especially on matte or semi-matte glazes—use Bar Keeper’s Friend, a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, or a paste of baking soda and warm water.

Our tableware can be warmed in the oven, but avoid sudden temperature changes. Please don’t transfer pieces directly from the freezer to a hot oven or from the oven into the fridge. Gradual temperature shifts are best.

Do not place ceramic pieces over an open flame.
